Develop Actionable Predictive Analytics
DTA develops predictive models for organizations that are tailored to each organization’s unique workflow and patient population. The general process works as follows:
Research – Gather information and research on similar predictive models
Gather Clinical Feedback – Convene a group of people across disciplines (MD, RN, Case Manager, etc.) to brainstorm potential predictors
Generate Data Elements – Query data sources to pull each potential predictors into a table or extract file that the statistical modeling tool can use
Develop Model – Run potential predictors through a regression model to determine which elements are predictive, generating an overall risk score
Develop Operational Tools – Define the patient population and workflow, and then implement tools to operationalize the prediction model
Pilot, Rollout, and Use – Train care managers and others who will be using the tool
Monitor Model Validity – Monitor model validity over time and determine if/when to re-generate the model

DTA has a metadata tool (Business Intelligence Catalog) that allows organizations to track information about all of their reports, dashboards, metrics, and whatever else you can think of in a searchable repository to be used by technical staff and end-users alike.
